In memoriam: +Elizabeth Ann DiRenzo

With profound sadness, the family announces the passing of Elizabeth “Betty” DiRenzo on April 9, 2026, at the age of 85.

Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, and the cherished heart of her family. She dedicated her life to nurturing those she loved with boundless kindness and unwavering strength.

A faithful follower of Christ, Betty found great comfort in prayer and peace in the promise of eternal life. She lived her faith through quiet generosity, supporting numerous charities and remaining devoted to the Catholic Church throughout her life.

Betty will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters: Gina (partner Nikola), Angela (Chris), Stella, and Anna (Gary). She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Justin, Julia, Ryan, and Maria, as well as by Justin and Julia’s father, Jim Mah. She is also survived by her sisters, Rita (Ken) and Mary (Brian), and her brother, Hugh (Leslie).

Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband, Basilio Luciano DiRenzo, and by her parents, Beatrice and Fraser Kerr.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare’s Catholic Church, 6310 118 Avenue, with Father Glenn McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
