To nije slučajno.

Time nam želi reći da nijedna naša briga, nijedna suza i nijedna molitva

nisu nepoznate Bogu.

Commentary of the Sunday Gospel

In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus repeats to his disciples, not once, not twice, but three times: "Do not be afraid." This isn't by chance. He knows how powerfully fear can impact a person's life. The disciples to whom he spoke these words weren't living in secure times. Many unknowns, challenges, and trials lay ahead of them. Precisely for this reason, Jesus wants them to know they are not alone.

Even today, many people face various forms of uncertainty. Some worry about their health, others about their families, their jobs, or the future of their children. Sometimes it feels as though the world around us is changing rapidly, and the answers we seek don't always come immediately. In such moments, it's easy to let worry become stronger than hope.

But Jesus reminds us that every human life is precious in God's eyes. He says that God even knows the number of hairs on our heads. By this, he wants to tell us that none of our worries, none of our tears, and none of our prayers are unknown to God. We may not always understand His plan, but we can trust that He does not abandon us.

Augustine of Hippo once wrote: "Hope has two beautiful daughters: anger and courage. Anger at the way things are, and courage to change them." Christian hope isn't about closing our eyes to reality. It is the trust that God is at work even when we don't yet see it.

May this Sunday bring peace to our hearts. As we navigate life's challenges, let us remember that Christ remains with us. He calls us not to live in fear, but in trust of His presence and love.
