Ordination to the Diaconate at St. Joseph’s Basilica

The Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton and St. Joseph Seminary are pleased to announce the ordination of two candidates to the transitional diaconate, as they journey toward the priesthood. The ordination will take place on July 16, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Basilica.

Announcement of the Archdiocese:

"We are pleased to announce that Archbishop Stephen Hero will ordain Daniel Salé and Andrew Sheedy to the Transitional Diaconate for the Archdiocese of Edmonton. Please join us for this special Mass and keep Daniel and Andrew in your prayers as they continue their journey toward the priesthood. Almighty God, giver of every grace, send your Holy Spirit into our midst to assist Andrew and Daniel as they prepare for ordination to the Transitional Diaconate, ready to offer themselves forever in the ministry of the Word, of the altar, and charity, as servants to all. Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen"
