In our parish, we also carry our Croatian customs and traditions.
One of these customs is the blessing of food on Easter. There was a tradition among our people that the whole family would eat a blessed breakfast together on Easter day, and a separate 'early' Holy Mass was introduced on Easter, so that the food could be blessed before the common breakfast. Over time, this changed, especially in urban areas, and today the blessing of food is mainly performed at the Easter Vigil Mass and on Easter day itself.
In our parish, the 'Easter Blessing of the Meal' will be held on Holy Saturday during the Easter Vigil, and on Easter Day itself.
May you all have a blessed time of the Easter Triduum, the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Christ.
