Mladifest History
In 2012, a small group of parishioners of the Queen of Peace Croatian Franciscan Centre in Norval, Ontario realized they wanted a way for young Catholics of North America to come together to get closer to God, each other and to build their community. After a year of fundraising, organizing and lots of praying, the first Mladifest was held with over 300 participants coming from across North America and the world! The tradition continued for 10 years, with the festival making its way across Canada and the US, with events held in Vancouver, Milwaukee, Montreal, LA and more!
What to Expect in New York
This year marks the 11th Mladifest and the first time it will be hosted in New York. Additionally, it’s the first-ever four-day Mladifest, extending beyond the usual three days. Participants can look forward to a long weekend filled with powerful testimonies, praise and worship, Mass and Adoration, deep prayer, engaging group activities, and the chance to explore the unique offerings of our incredible city. Most of the event will be conducted in English to ensure ease of understanding for all participants.
Media Policy
Mladifest is a religious retreat designed for young people aged 16-35, offering a space to deepen their faith, connect with peers, and celebrate community through prayer, worship, and fellowship. As this is a sacred and personal experience, media access is limited, and any media opportunities must be pre-approved by the event organizers to ensure the integrity and privacy of the retreat are respected.
